Field-Tested Biologicals: 2026 Trial Observations

As growers look for new ways to enhance plant health and performance throughout the season, the biological crop input market has grown in popularity, particularly for row crops.
Here’s a closer look at how the latest WinField® United biologicals were selected for the BioVerified list, how each product has performed and what to keep in mind as you evaluate whether biologicals make sense for your 2027 plans.
Biostimulants
Biological Seed Treatments
“Biologicals” is often used as a broad term for bio-based products used in crop production. More specifically, it is also one of the three subcategories, along with biostimulants and plant growth regulators (PGRs).
Rapid market growth has led to crowded offerings, confusion and some skepticism. That’s why WinField United launched the BioVerified™ designation to help simplify the biological category, highlighting products we have vetted thoroughly. Think of it as a starting point — a short-list created by a trusted source.
Only the products that pass our rigorous evaluation process make the list. Products with this designation are rated against four key metrics including product uniqueness, agronomic performance and economic return. We hope that by choosing a BioVerified product, you can streamline your decision-making and feel more confident in your choice.

Plants on the right were treated with Warden CX II seed treatment and Ascend ST3 PGR and showed greater early-season root development. Results may vary.

Crop performance is dependent on several factors many of which are beyond the control of WinField United, including without limitation, soil type, pest pressures, agronomic practices and weather conditions. Growers are encouraged to consider data from multiple locations, over multiple years and to be mindful of how such agronomic conditions could impact results. 2026 Field Observations
The WinField United team got to see our biological portfolio in action this season at Answer Plot® locations across the country. Some performance highlights included:- Ascend ST3 PGR: Showed visible early-season differences in soybean root development. Ascend ST3 helps accelerate early-season development, improves germination and enhances root growth with a PGR seed treatment.

- Dash PBS and Dash PBC: Strong early-season visual results and root-dig feedback in 2026 trials, particularly on early-planted soybeans. These planter box seed treatments lubricate seed and provide microbial benefits for enhanced yield potential. Dash PBC increased corn yield by an average of 3.0 bu/A across tested locations.1 Yield response was greater in nitrogen-responsive environments, averaging 4.3 bu/A.1

- TRUROW AMAZE: Positive in-season feedback as a stress mitigator on soybean acres. TRUROW AMAZE provides cytokinin, which is crucial for vegetative growth, reproductive development and abiotic stress mitigation.
- Voyagro biostimulant fertilizer: Amino acids in Voyagro biostimulant help mitigate stress and enhance nutrient movement, supporting early plant growth and optimizing yield potential. Applying Voyagro at V5 increased yield by an average of 5.3 bu/A across tested locations.2 Voyagro can be beneficial where there is moisture stress prior to application or where stress is anticipated.
Looking Ahead
As you plan for 2027, it’s a good time to start thinking about whether biologicals could be a fit for your operation. Start by asking yourself what agronomic issue you’re trying to solve. Do you need an early-season starter, a mid-season boost or a late-season addition? These questions can help guide you to the right solutions within the WinField United BioVerified list. It often comes down to working closely with your retailer and asking the right discovery questions to find the best fit for your goals.
