What's New with the WinField® United BioVerified™ Designation

The biological market is crowded, and it can be hard to know where to begin. Our agronomic experts have been closely monitoring and testing biological products to help the growers in our system understand which ones to trust and how to use them. With the introduction of the WinField United BioVerified^™ designation, we’ve consolidated that effort into an identifiable brand and systematic rating scale to make the vetting process easier for our partners.

What Is the WinField United BioVerified^™ Designation?

The WinField United BioVerified^™ designation helps simplify the biological category by highlighting products we have put through a thorough vetting process. This designation was created to give you a clear reference point when selecting biologicals. 

When you choose a WinField United BioVerified^™ product, you can have confidence knowing it’s been evaluated by agronomic experts at WinField United.

The WinField United BioVerified^™ designation is not limited to WinField United products. Sure, we test proprietary products and some of them, like Ascend^2® plant growth regulator, make the list. But spotlighting our own products is not the focus. As a distributor, we’re looking across the market to be a transparent and trusted resource. 

How Are WinField United BioVerified^™ Products Chosen?

WinField United BioVerified™ products are determined based on four key criteria: 

1. Uniqueness 
2. Agronomics 
3. Operational alignment 
4. Economics

To make it on the list, products must address a need in the marketplace and demonstrate a differentiated benefit under our evaluation criteria.

The product must also be proven to work and deliver on its claims. We evaluate this criteria in one or more of the following ways:

1. Field trials through our Answer Plot^® system
2. 3D imaging in a controlled environment at the WinField United Innovation Center in River Falls, WI
3. Data analysis from third-party vendors and product suppliers 

Just because a product works in a lab or in the field doesn’t mean it works within a farmer’s operation — or that it makes sense for the retail channel. Our operational criteria consider factors like handling, shelf life, application options, tank mixability and more.

Finally, at the end of the day, choosing any of these products has to make good business sense for the farm. This category evaluates the ROI potential of every product on the list.  
 

2026 Updates to the WinField United BioVerified^™ Designation List 

Joining the 11 distinguished products already on the BioVerified^™ list are three cutting-edge products: 
1. Neovo^™ insecticide: This liquid in-furrow insecticide developed by Pro Farm Group helps protect corn and sorghum against corn rootworm, nematodes and other below-ground pests. Powered by RinoTec™ Technology, it’s an innovative product utilizing a novel mode of action, designed to provide an alternative approach in the marketplace. 
2. Boosten^™ biostimulant: A groundbreaking biostimulant that helps offer defensive protection and promotes vitality to help crops thrive against yield-robbing environmental stressors such as weeds or weather. Boosten biostimulant is formulated to be applied with an herbicide pass that could help reduce early herbicide injury and support faster crop recovery from weather stresses.
3. N Stryke^™ microbial soil amendment: Full of active, all-natural soil microorganisms, this highly concentrated microbial package helps nourish root growth while providing nutrient mineralization and recycling for the crop.  

The Future of the WinField United BioVerified^™ Designation List

If there’s one thing the biologicals segment has proven to be, it’s ever-changing. New products are consistently popping up, and external factors like consumer preferences and chemical resistance are driving more demand. The WinField United BioVerified^™ designation will continue to evolve alongside it, adding new products that meet our high standards and removing products that have been outperformed.
