WinField United Offers $5,000 Scholarships to Students Pursuing Ag Degrees
WinField United Careers in Agriculture Scholarship
Land O’Lakes, Inc. has established the WinField United Careers in Agriculture Scholarship to assist students who are pursuing a degree in or related to Agriculture
Application window: March 14, 2023 through April 17, 2023 3:00 pm CT
Applicants to the WinField United Careers in Agriculture Scholarship must:
- Be current college undergraduates studying in the United States
- Be planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year
- Be pursuing a degree related to agriculture and/or have interest in pursuing a career in the ag industry
- Have work experience related to the pursued degree
Awards
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to four (4) awards will be granted.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Notification: All applicants will be notified in May.
Payment of Scholarships: Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Land O’Lakes, Inc. Payment is made in August.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
- Academic record
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
- Work experience
- A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
- Unusual personal or family circumstances
- An online recommendation
From the pool of qualified finalists, WinField United will select scholarship recipients.
Not all applicants to the program will be selected as finalists/recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
As part of the application, students will need to upload the following:
- A current, complete transcript of grades and one online recommendation submission.
