Healthy Turf. Healthy Kids. Awareness Week
The "Healthy Turf. Healthy Kids." initiative is designed to renovate and revitalize urban recreational green spaces including parks, athletic fields and golf courses. In 2015 Project EverGreen is undertaking renovation projects in cities across the country including Atlanta, Austin, Texas; Cleveland, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Millwaukee, Minneapolis, Portland, Oregon; and Raleigh-Durham.
“Investing in the renovation and revitalization of recreational and athletic green spaces is an investment in a healthier future for children across the country,” says Cindy Code, executive director of Project EverGreen. “Our goal is to make sure that safe, modern green space is available so children can make exercise, athletics and recreation a part of their daily lives.”
You can support the awareness week by following Project EverGreen on Facebook or Twitter.
WinField is proud to be a financial supporter of Project EverGreen and believes in the work being done by the organization to promote and restore green spaces in our communities. To donate or learn about volunteer opportunities, visit projectevergreen.org.
