May 11, 2016 (Shoreview, Minn.) - Winfield Solutions, LLC (wholly owned by Land O’Lakes, Inc.), recently named twenty recipients for the organization’s 2016 WinField Careers in Agriculture Scholarships program. The scholarships, each worth $1,000, are awarded to 10 graduating high school seniors and 10 first or second-year college students who demonstrate scholastic achievement, leadership in agriculture and a perceived ability to contribute and advance agriculture in the future.
“We are pleased to award such deserving applicants of the Careers in Agriculture Scholarship program,” said Faye Bliese, Director, Integrated Marketing Communications, WinField. “This program uncovers the quality of youth leaders in agriculture, and we are extremely pleased to know they will contribute in the future of our industry and promote development of the cooperative system.”
Since its formation 24 years ago, the WinField Careers in Agriculture Scholarship program has awarded almost half a million dollars in scholarships to youth whose passion and future lies within agriculture. This year’s scholarships will go to:
